The usual price reflects the components bought individually plus standard fitting. Because we buy these combinations in volume and fit them regularly, we can package them at a lower total. The savings range from $206 on Silver up to $564 on Titanium.

Start with your music. Bronze and Silver suit EDM and party music where you want volume without distortion. Gold is the pick for bass-heavy listening because its DSP lets us control low frequencies properly. Platinum, Diamond and Titanium are built for vocal clarity and soundstage accuracy. A DSP — digital signal processor — lets us control timing, crossover points and equalisation per speaker. In a car you sit off-centre, so sound from the near speaker arrives before the far one and the stereo image collapses toward your door. Time alignment delays the near speaker by milliseconds so both arrive together, which pulls the soundstage up onto the windscreen. Gold and above include a DSP.

Usually not. Modern amplifiers and DSPs accept high-level inputs, so we can tap the factory head unit's speaker outputs and keep your original screen, steering controls and reversing camera working. If your car has an amplified or fibre-optic factory system we will check compatibility before quoting.

Not with the packages we build. Every package uses a compact active subwoofer — the slimmest is 290 × 210 × 65 mm, roughly the footprint of a laptop. Most fit under a seat or against a boot wall, leaving usable luggage space.

Most speaker and subwoofer packages are done within one working day. Builds with a DSP amplifier need extra tuning time, so we usually ask for the car for a full day. We confirm the duration when you book.

A properly installed audio system should not void your vehicle warranty. We use vehicle-specific harnesses and non-destructive mounting wherever possible, so the original wiring stays intact and the work can be reversed if you sell the car.

Yes — one year on every installation, on top of whatever manufacturer warranty applies to the components. If something rattles, buzzes or drops out, bring the car back.

Yes, and we encourage it. Your ears adjust over the first week or two, and what sounded bright on day one often sounds right by day ten — or the other way round. Bring the car back and we will fine-tune it.

If your amplifier or processor is DSP-capable, yes. Call us with your equipment list and we will tell you honestly what improvement is realistic before you drive down.

Yes, and EVs are some of the best cars to do it in. Without engine noise masking the detail, a good system is far more obvious than in a petrol car. Not in any way you will notice. A car audio system draws a tiny fraction of what the motors use — the climate control has a far bigger effect on range than the stereo does.

Because there is no engine covering it. In a petrol car, engine and exhaust noise masks tyre and wind noise; remove that and what is left becomes obvious. Sound deadening on the doors and floor is often the single most worthwhile thing you can do to an EV, and it makes the audio system sound better at the same time.

Yes. Our Tesla installs keep the original screen, controls and interface — the amplifier and processor sit behind the factory system using high-level inputs, so nothing about how you use the car changes. The same applies to the CarPlay module, which runs inside the Tesla interface rather than replacing it.

A properly installed system should not. We use plug-and-play harnesses and do not cut factory wiring, so the work can be reversed. That said, warranty terms are between you and the manufacturer — if you are still under warranty and want certainty, ask us to walk you through exactly what the install touches before you commit.

A tidy, professionally installed system is usually neutral to slightly positive, and the equipment itself holds value if you take it with you. What hurts resale is visible butchery — cut panels, exposed wiring, holes in the boot floor. That is a good reason to have it done properly the first time.

Yes, we would recommend it. Most policies ask you to declare modifications, and an undeclared system may not be covered if the car is stolen or damaged. Insurers differ, so check your own policy — it is usually a short call, and having it declared means the equipment is actually insured.

It affects cheap ones. Paper cones and untreated foam surrounds can soften or delaminate in constant high humidity, especially in a car that sits in the sun. The brands we carry use treated or synthetic materials built for exactly this, which is part of why they cost what they do. Parking in the shade and running the aircon before blasting the system on a hot day helps any system last longer.
